The Syncro is the 'ultimate' version of the Golf III VR6. It inherits the Corrado's 2861cc VR6 engine. This special version also benefits from four-wheel drive. It develops 190bhp and can reach speeds of up to 225km/h. The VR6 Syncro went on sale in 1993 and accompanied the third generation Golf until its demise in 1997.
